Survey Season At Leeds Met

Yes, it’s that time of year again – the Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS) for first and second years and National Student Survey (NSS) for final years are out.

But it is important to remember that these surveys are your chance to reflect accurately on your overall experience of your course and your university – not air grievances on specific issues.

If you do have issues to raise you can do that with the tutor responsible for the module concerned and/or speak to your course reps and personal tutors. At the end of the day that is what we are here for and if you follow this procedure we can resolve problems quickly.

When you draw attention to potential problems in the surveys, you are compromising the course and university’s ability to perform well in league tables, and being an annual survey, by the time the results are released it is too late to do anything about them – particularly for the final year students who have already graduated when the findings are published.

You’ll be able to see the survey team around the university over the coming weeks and if you need any encouragement to chat to them, they do have plentiful supplies of chocolate to offer in return for filling out the surveys.

You can also fill out the surveys online here and all students who do complete them online are entitled to a free hot drink at university cafes as well as being entered into a prize draw with a chance to win either: £150 of Amazon Vouchers, £150 of Love to Shop Vouchers, or £150 of Virgin Experience Day Vouchers.

Fill out the surveys for your chance to have a say today.
